What is Microsoft Azure Dev Tools for Teaching?
Microsoft Azure Dev Tools for Teaching (formerly Imagine, Dreamspark or MSDN Academic Alliance) allows SEAS students and researchers to get free installations of a variety of Microsoft software, including:
- Visual Studio
- Microsoft Project
- Microsoft operating systems
- Microsoft servers and driver development kits
This software can only be used for instruction or research. It cannot be used for commercial use or for university infrastructure or administration.
Access to the portal requires a Penn Microsoft account. SEAS students are eligible for a Penn Office 365 ProPlus account. If you haven't already, create one here:
Once your Penn Office 365 account is active, visit the portal:
After agreeing to the terms of service, you will have access to all available software:
Note that Microsoft Office is available to eligible Penn Engineering students with a Penn Office 365 ProPlus account.
