What is Ed Discussion?

Ed Discussion is Penn's current campus-wide discussion tool. It replaced Piazza in the summer of 2022.

How do I add Ed Discussion to my Canvas site?

Ed Discussion has been integrated with Penn Canvas and can be easily added to courses.

In order to activate Ed Discussion in Canvas, please see the Library’s page:

Useful tips:

• Wait until the Canvas course is published before activating Ed Discussion.
• Click the Sync with LMS button in the Ed Discussion admin page frequently to ensure all students in the Canvas course are enrolled.
• Students should access Ed Discussion via the Canvas course to avoid login issues.
