What is Gradescope?
Gradescope grading software allows students to receive faster and more detailed feedback on their work, and allows instructors to see detailed assignment and question analytics. It is an easy way to take submissions digitally in order to preserve the original work and allow for quick and easy viewing from anywhere.
How do instructors get a Gradescope account?
Penn's Gradescope license provides access to all the premium features such as Canvas Integration. Faculty should contact CETS to request a Gradescope account.

How do instructors sync the Canvas Roster with Gradescope?
It's important to sync the Canvas roster with Gradescope whenever the course enrollment changes, as this is not updated automatically. Visit the Course Roster page in Gradescope and click Sync Canvas Roster. The students who joined late should then appear on the roster and get access to the course on Gradescope. See this article for more information:
Adding students and staff via LMS integration (Gradescope Help Center)
If that doesn't work, please contact Gradescope for further support at help@gradescope.com. Be prepared to share the names and emails of the students who aren't syncing over from Canvas.
