How do I use the Penn Online Directory in my email client?
LDAP, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol, is an Internet protocol that email programs use to look up contact information from a server. Penn's LDAP server provides the same information presented in the Public View of the Penn Online Directory that you can use in your email client's address book.
See the following ISC resources for information on how to configure your email client to use the Penn Online Directory:
- Thunderbird
- Apple Mail (Mac OS X)
