What is VoIP?
Penn's Telephone and Voice Mail Services uses Voice over IP (VoIP) technology. VoIP offers a host of features and benefits not available with traditional analog phone service. Penn's VoIP service is called PennNet Phone Service (PPS). Visit the PPS website for more information on the service, including detailed instructions on how to change your voice mail password, set up call forwarding, and other features.
To access your settings, log in with your PennKey at:

After logging in, click on the Features and Voice Mail link to access your phone's features. Yellow information (i) icons provide more details about a feature.
How do I block a phone number on a Penn VoIP phone?
Incoming spam calls can be blocked in PPS as long you have the phone number.
- Log into PPS: https://pps.voice.isc.upenn.edu/
- Select Features and Voice Mail in the column on the left side of the screen.
- Enter the telephone number in the Blocked Callers List box.
- For more information, click the information (i) icon next to the Blocked Caller List.
Note: PennNet phone numbers and exchanges cannot be blocked.
