How much quota (disk space) do I have?
SEAS students receive 16GB and faculty receive 40GB of disk space.
Here are ways to check your quota:
- Log into the SEAS Account Management website for detailed information about your quota usage.
- On the Linux command line, type
- On Windows machines in the SEAS labs, right-click on your S: drive and select Properties.
Please do not waste disk space. Disk space is a shared resource, so please use it responsibly.
If you read your email on the SEAS mail server instead of at Google@SEAS, your INBOX does not count against your SEAS home directory quota (but your folders do). There is a separate 250 MB limit on your INBOX. For more information on deleting mail from your INBOX, see the article, I've deleted email, why am I still taking up too much space in the mail spool?
Need more space?
All students, faculty and staff have unlimited storage with Google Drive via Google@SEAS (recommended).
